Robert I (1277-1343) known as the Wise one

Robert was born into 1277 in Naples, he is the son of Charles II of Anjou and Marie of Hungary. Robert is designated as General Vicaire of the Kingdom of Naples as of 1296 then heir to this Kingdom into 1297.
He succeeds into 1309 his father in spite of the claims of the Hungarian branch. He profits besides from the support of the Pope Clement V, Suzerain of the Kingdom of Naples, which prefers it in Charles-Robert already King de Hongrie. Robert also inherits the County of Provence and the titles of Senator de Rome and Guard of Florence.
It marries into 1297 Yolande d' Aragon girl of the King Pierre III of Aragon. They have as a child Charles, born into 1297, Duc of Calabria. After the death of *Yolande d' Aragon in 1303, Robert marries in second weddings into 1304, Sanchie girl of King de Majorque. They do not have a child.
He carries the nickname of Wise because he often arrived to his ends without having recourse to the weapons but rather thanks to the diplomacy and to his political skill. He organizes firmly and manages his Kingdom rationally and Provence what enables him to have considerable financial resources.
During the reign of his father, Robert represents it in Provence where the title of Vicar carries. At that time and during its reign it improves the administration of the County. It reinforces the role of the royal Council where sit the Seneshal and of the lawyers. Robert gives to the cities the right to set up the Councils and to name Syndics who represent the community. The Trade union replaces the consulate, and is largely spread.
