As one can see it on these photographs, the underwater base at summer very little damaged by the bombs of the Anglo-American bombardment of December 2, 1943. Only some glares are still visible.

The input was to be like this one
At that time the sea of course arrival along the road of the littoral, with height of Mourepiane there were fishing vessels.
In the Sixties the port increased and all was filled to form the quay level of Mourepiane with the goods station of Mourepiane, then all the forms, the moles Gourret ect...
One wanted, or at least studied, the destruction of this spine that made up this underwater base.
Several plans were studied, dynamiting purely and simply, only problem... the districts around which would have undergone much damage. Other plan, the demolition by the only hand of the man, to the power pick... too expensive, then the port adapted, transformation into office...
